What do I need to do to join my first meeting?

So you have received an invitation to join the meeting on Ovida. Where to next?

Accept the invitation and sign up for your free Guest account with Ovida

You will have received an email invitation from hello@ovida.org. Follow the link to signup.

Your invitation is linked to the email address the coach entered for you, so you must signup with the invited email address. If you want to use another email address, you will need to ask your coach to send a new invitation from Ovida. 

Test your video setup

Ovida uses secure video room technology to run a video meeting direct from your browser. To ensure that your meeting goes off smoothly, we recommend that you run through the brief "test your setup" step on the Getting Started page before you start your meeting. You can read more about the many factors that can impact call quality here. 

Login before your call

Unlike many commercial video call tools like Zoom, Teams or Meet, you must be logged in to Ovida to join a call. This high-security feature ensures that only the invited people can join your video room, and allows you, as the guest, to access and control your recorded data after the meeting. In contrast, if someone records a Zoom call you are on, you have no visibility or control over that data after the call has finished.
